I planted my squash and zucchini on 3/22/13. I go out everyday after work and turn over their leaves to make sure no critters are invading. Yesterday I noticed some poo on some buds on both my squash plants and my zucchini. I usually just pluck the bud and destroy the evil critters but I was wondering if there is a better way or maybe a way to prevent them from wanting to eat my fruits. I don't use any poisons on my gardens which makes this that much harder. :(

You might want to try a spray made with habanero peppers and dishsoap. If I remember correctly it's about 1/2 a cup of habanero peppers and you pour a gallon of boiling water over it, let it steep then use the water with a little bit of dishsoap to spray on your plants. It supposedly will work to keep animals away too.

Thanks!! I use that to control aphids. I will try it on the worms too.
