What to do?? ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden )

The two plants had really grown and is extending vines out. I am going to treat both as strawberry and I have no idea with the overgrown vines. HELP!!

The bay leaves did not make it. :'(

The one on the left is definitely a strawberry and I have no idea about the one on the right. As for the vines, you can stick them in some soil and they should grow into new plants.

    Hi KK,

The runners will start new plants. While I have strawberry plants, I let the birds have the fruit. Too much shade for big strawberries. The other plant, while a mystery, the leaf looks familiar. I have seen it in my yard, somewhere.....I have to wait till the snow goes away. :-(

It may still yield something. After all it did travel thousands of kilometers.

Thanks FlowerFreak22, Jerry, I think I'll just leave them for the time being.

It kind of looks like something from the Ranunculaceae family.

I was thinking the same thing FF. KK they look like buttercups, genus Ranunculus, and there are lots of different kinds of them. Here they are a persistent weed that once they go to seed are almost impossible to get rid of. (Seeds and runners that all make lots of new plants) Some climates they are enjoyed and aren't a nuisance.

KK looks like you will have lots of little strawberry plants starting right away from the runners of the parent plant. If the runners of the strawberry plant touch soil they will root faster. You will be rolling in strawberry plants in no time. ;)

Flowerfreak22 thanks, guess it is not strawberry huh!!

Thanks Jewell, guess I'll have to get rid of it then.
As for the strawberry, I'll put a pot so that the runner can take root there before I transplant them.

If you click on this link, KK, there is a picture of a Wedelia Trilobata (Water Zinnia). I have one that grows in water but it can be grown in soil also. Do you think this is what you've got in your pot on the right?

Ranunculus -- I just googled to see what they look like. They sure are pretty! If that's what you've got, lucky you!

Thanks Daisybeans, but it is not Wedelia Trilobata, the leaves and flowers are different and neither are they Ranunculus. I check with my sis-in-law in UK and she thinks it is just some kind of weeds.
