What a surprise! They are lovely to see, do you expect them to bloom next spring as well?
Is this normal for your garden, or is this the first time?

Plants couldn't care less about the calender, when the temps feel good to them, they bloom. My Passionflower vine bloomed back in April and is putting out blooms again....in the past it has only bloomed in late Sept/early October. And last year they didn't bloom at all.

Wow - wouldn't expect to see columbine this time of year at all - beautiful though.

It surprised me as they had bloomed in the spring and then started blooming again the end of August. I think it's like Toni said, as we had a warm spring and early summer, then it cooled off.

Last year in the Fall a daffodil grew up green leaves. This winter one creeping phlox bloomed some purple flowers.
