I've actually managed to complete two projects today.

This is a poncho knitted from double yarn with lots of pattern and braiding. It lacked buttons, but got them today:

This sweater is knitted in double three-thread alpaca yarn. It's very light weight and soft, and easy to knit. Your typical TV-craft:

Now I have to get those hall lights up before somebody knocks me on the head with them.

Oh, Droopy I love the poncho and sweater.

Is the poncho a commercial pattern? If so, is there a chance I can find it online somewhere?

    Thank you Glenda.

Yes it is, but from Sandnes Ullvare, which is Norwegian.

They sell their booklets with patterns at their distributors' and I don't think they put patterns online. I can't even buy the booklets without also buying the yarn for one of the projects in there.

I found a yarn shop not too far from here that carries their yarn and patterns. I feel a "road trip" coming on some day, maybe tomorrow :stew2:

There is a distributor in the U.S. but their website is slow and has several broken links. Not good for anyone's business.

If I can't find a copy of your pattern, I will use my measurements and make my own. I loved doing cables years ago, but haven't tried them since I went back to knitting a couple of years ago.

Well done toni! :) The poncho pattern looks intricate but I think it's fairly easy to do.

Biita, you're so good at so much, you can't be good at everything! :)

Netty, I put mine on the sofa, and we're going to need it soon, so I had to.

Nice job Droopy. I wish I could knit. I can crochet but not knit. I'm jealous too!

Thank you. It's never too late to learn DaphDaph. I don't crochet much now. My next crocheting project will be a shawl. I think.

Well I admit that I can't knit for toffee but I certainly can admire work like yours Droopy. I love the poncho and the sweater looks great with its contrasting colours. :D

Thank you all. I've started a similar sweater for the middle girl now. TV-knitting, just smooth and around and around.
