Hello everyone. I came across this today and I wanted to share! I have a friend who bought one of these from a store for a nice chunk of change...LMAO YOU CAN MAKE IT for about $20.00 I know what my weekend project is... :-D
Are you going to make one yourself then Midnight? If you do then please post a photograph of it as we'd love to see your handy work. :-D Worm tea is supposed to be one of the best and most potent fertilizers you can use in your garden.
I sure am. After we eat dinner I'm going to the store for a bucket, airstones and a paint strainer. I already have air pump and tubing, so it looks like I'll have about $10 invested. I'll post pictures later on this weekend. Take care and have a great day

I sure will :-D I was fresh out of worm castings, so I used the next best thing... Peruvian sea bird guano.... AHHHHHH, Guano tea... My garden is in for a treat tommorrow
I've heard you can also use chicken poo to make a lovely, rich 'tea' for your garden but have never tried it myself - yet.
You sure can Eileen. I prefer the sea bird guano for a couple of reasons... 1. Thier diet is made up of mainly fish and crustaceans. Two things that plants love. 2. They usually have a better NPK valueand are less likely to burn plants *** You still can burn them if your not careful. 3. Seems to be alot cheaper in the long haul, especially when you make the guano tea. :-D
I'd love to be a plant in your garden tomorrow MS. It would be great if you could tell us if there is any noticeable difference from using the tea brewer. Well done!
I can tell you this... A good friend of mine who I taught all about gardening and has since far surpassed my gardening knowledge, did a little study last year. He grew (4) sweet 100 tomato plants. two of them got strictly worm tea and grew to be at least 16" taller than the other 2 that recieved only regular nutrient feedings every 2 weeks. The plants given the tea were greener, more lush and seemed to be much healthier overall. They did produce a heck of alot more tomatoes too!!! Oh yeah, he gave them a drink of tea weekly...
Hey there... I simply give each plant a 16oz solo cup full. I slowly pour it around the base of the plant. I'm getting ready to make another batch tomorrow. After the last feeding, my tomatoes have grown an additional 12"... They love the tea! :-D
Hello! I tried emailing the person on the website you posted about this subject. Heres the email I wrote.. maybe you all can help since for some reason the email that was on there didnt work I had a question about what i am doing as to 'brewing tea'. All I do is get fresh cow manure fill it about 1/4 way -1/2 way full in a gallon jug. Then i fill it up with water and shake it well. then (saved up all my milk jugs) and filled them nearly all the way full (leaving 2-3 inches from the top) and then pouring the liquid manure as i call it into the milk jugs. I shake each jug vigorously and let it sit 1-3 days (depending on how deliuted the 'new cattlemens tea' is lol.I havent gotten to see spectacular results yet (our weather has been cool and wet in central oklahoma up until the last couple of days mostly.. so plants havent had much change to get going. Just thought Id ask what you thought of my idea. Do I need to keep the lids off my milk jugs ?? I did notice that usually they kinda spew when i open them. Thanks once again in advance for you help!
