Well here in the country where I live there is still lots of snow on the ground.
I am desperately looking for signs of spring and came across this little nest of hungry babies waiting for mum to return with their food.



We have also a regular little wren who nests in the same bird house on the tree every year. The only problem is that she will not tolerate any other birds nesting anywhere in the garden and for all that she is so small she packs a mighty wallop, sending other birds on their way!

I hope the babies in the nest survive despite the wren trying to chase the other birds away. It would be such a shame if they perished.
