My Birthday Present

Category: New Yard | Posted: Sun Mar 30, 2008 2:40 am

Well after a lot of hesitation.....I guess I am going to give orchids a try! This was my birthday gift from Patrick.

I normally don't have luck with indoor plants, but here it goes!

Congratulations on your lovely orchid. What is it, a Cymbidium? If you read a bit about it I'm positive you'll do fine.

Thank you all,
I am not sure what kind it is Droopy. I'll have to do some research.

I also think it is a CYmbidium hybrid. Good luck - they are not too hard to look after.
Lovely pressie - Sooo many blooms on that spike WOW.

It is a Cymbidium! Now to figure out how to care for it. It is in a window that gets bright indirect light.

I mist spray mine daily with tepid water which they seem to like. They don't like being in draughts and like to be kept moist and warm. However, I've never grown one like yours so I hope you can find information better than mine on how to care for it. Good luck with your orchid - it's a real beauty!!!
