Winter Remembered

Category: New Yard | Posted: Thu Jan 17, 2008 10:15 pm

These photos where taken outside my apartment last year. The outlet mall I work at was closed for three days, but I had work to do and had to get there one of those days.

It was a good thing I had a hammer and chisel in the car as there was at least three inches of ice covering the back door of the building. I got what I needed, locked up and worked from home the other two days.

I hope we are lucky enough not to have a repeat this year! I am much further than four mintutes from work now with the new house.

Burrrrrrr and awe at such icy beautiful pics. The black and white color adds to the cold experience. Thanks for sharing.

Is that a bike wheel in the first shot buda?

Yes Frank, that is my bicycle tire under the stairwell. I thought it would be an interesting shot.

That looks c-c-c-cold! Dramatic photos, they really come across freezing. Well done.

I remember the mornings so well.I couldn't go out my front porch as I would have slid off.I took boiling water and melted my back steps and them went to my green house and pushed all of it off the top as it was just heavy plastic.I now have a peaked roof of clear fiberglass. It was not any fun to me.Cheyenne ,Kevin and Shanna had so much fun in it.

The second shot looks like it could be some sort of alien from a SciFi movie.
