Antique Corner Cupboard

Category: Melrose Corner Cupboard | Posted: Sat Feb 02, 2008 4:46 pm

This is a 'first' for me as I am old and not computer savvy. My interest in this is that my father, Theodore R Wood, was a well know antique dealer in Charlottesville, VA.
He gave me a magnificent corner cupboard that he had purchased from Melrose. He felt is had been made for the mansion as it had not been painted behind it. It has a round back, is in two pieces and is truly breath taking.
It is registered with the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts.
My husband and I are considering selling it and I would so love to see it back at Melrose. Who are the present owners?
We have not had it appraised yet.
Thanks for letting me 'blog' with you, Mona
