RAIN

Category: My Garden | Posted: Tue Jul 22, 2008 3:34 am

We have been having severe weather the last 2 weeks. Heavy downpours, high winds, lighting, and some hail. It doesn't last long but enough to break some of my tall flowers.
Yesterday my husband and I were out in our boat, the skies were looking good. Then within minutes the sky got eerie, and it downpoured. Wow, the rain hit us like pellets and cold. Our dog was smart and got up under the front. Silly me tried holding an umbrella over us and it turned inside out. haha When we got to the dock 2 other boats were waiting to get out. IT was like the twilight zone waiting! It started to lighting, thats went I freaked.
My plants are really blooming now. I'm happy with my colors this year. I'm going around jotting in my plant book the places I need to fill in. Thats when I will go plant sale shopping for next year.
MY birds are eating up their food fast. I can't keep up with the supply. I am fighting with this chipmunk who keeps coming to one feeder. I refused to help him add to his winter supply!!!!
Have a good week stewies......

You were lucky not to get swamped with all that rain, would it have been dangerous if you had stayed out in it for too long?
Good luck with the chipmunk fight :)

Glad you made it to shore safely. Hope your flowers survive as well. What do you grow in the Berkshires?
Lucky you to live next to a lake.
