today's new blooms

Category: nature's marvels | Posted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 5:41 am

it has been raining most of the days now. the typical monsoon of the old days has gone, and the rains come and go - some days heavy, other days, it is difficult to believe it is the monsoon season !

i do get some flowers in the garden, some new ones at that. i am planning to try my hand with vegetables also this time. must see how it will go. the place is too shady for vegetables.
some pictures of my new flowers.

You must be quite happy with your new flowers, GF. I especially like that coleus. The markingd and the leaf borders look smashing.

I hope those caterpillers have stopped eating your planmys now.

What sort of veggies are you contemplating trying there?

Those are all beautiful. Coleus have never been my favorite plant, but I really like that leaf. Interesting shape to it.

Love your collection of Anthuriums. Your Hibisucs is lovely too. I'm a big fan of Coleus and I have to have a few scattered around my garden. They are just fantastic foliage plants.

thank you. this coleus has been with me for some time now. the colour has darkened may be because of the fall in temperature due to rain. otherwise the edges of the leaves become brighter pink, beautiful.
