Thing of beauty

Category: Healthy Roses | Posted: Mon Nov 17, 2008 12:40 pm

It has been such a wet season for everyone,a late harvest for farmers unable to get on the land and not so important in the scheme of things the buds on my roses rotting as they form, also the double whammy of rust, again I suppose relating to the wet weather?

I don't grow many roses, since they very often get ruined by the wet weather in this area. I'm sorry for your roses, better luck next year.

My father, a farmer, just about managed to save everything this year due to the wet weather. Guess it's a global occurrence.

And we have had dry weather again this year, but not as dry as last year. Wet conditions do cause black spot, but if your soil drains well the buds shouldn't have rotted.
