Our new goat

Category: My Mini Farm | Posted: Sun Mar 22, 2009 1:13 am

We've had such a busy weekend so far. On Friday we went to pick up our new boer doe. She is mostly white with a brown head. She is so sweet and loving. We have decided to name her Jenna. She joins our Nubian doe, who remains nameless. No one can agree on her name yet. We have been busy getting our two girls settled into their new home. They are so cute especially, when they cry out MAAAMAAAA . It was so fun bringing our latest doe home. She was in a crate in the back of our truck. She kept crying out as we drove. We had to drive through a residential area and each time we would stop and she would cry we would get some strange looks. No one could see her just hear her. I am sure they were wondering who we had back there becasue it sounds kinda like a child yelling MA.

LOL, boy do I know that experience!
My nubian doe is a real sweetheart, but a very good alert system as she regards all life forms as potential companionship- though my doggie isn't keen on her style of playing!

They sound so adorable! Are they any help with lawn mowing?

They actually aren't as interested in eating the grass from what I hear and shouldn't be considered a substitute as a mower. They like to eat some strange things. I gave them the trimmings from my rose bushes and they loved them.
