Lots of Stuff going on! updated wall, flower pics , seedling

Category: Roses and Garden | Posted: Sat Apr 10, 2010 11:37 pm

First, a friend and I got a load of horse manure.. I let him have more of it this year, I really only need it for top dressing, probable got 2-3 yards.

Update on the rock wall,

I have it composted now, and Ive decided on some strawberry plants for at least more most of the way down.. I guess I dont need all flowers all the time ! HA! Its ozark beauty.. variety, only reason I got that kind was someone told me it was fairly hardy and vigourous for them, so will see.

Have you seen double daffs set to bloom before.. IT looks like 3X the size of a regular one.. Cant wait to actually see it!

Here are some single ones actually bloomed...

Pansies from last year.. really came back strong.. low to the ground still but huge...

Some Wintersown sprouts out there.. Black Seeded Simpson lettuce (I have 5 containers total of these)

I have about 40 containers total sprouting out of 105 so far.. but tons of time left..

Here is some Hopi Dye Red Amaranth

my 500 daylily seedlings or so for this year... getting ready to plant in the ground

I also sprayed my entire garden with a concoction of garlic and hot sauce.. Non too early to stop the deer from eating my leafing roses and other perennials starting to come back..Spring is in the air!

Looking good! I'd forgotten about the deer ... I guess I'd better spray my garden too :)
