Poor Dogs

Category: My Very First Garden | Posted: Tue Mar 22, 2016 5:43 pm

After my garden being destroyed time and Time again I was about to give up! I couldn't understand why my dogs would not stop digging and how they were getting by my fences I just didn't get it! I resorted to blaming the cat but it still didn't make any sense! Until one day I woke up earlier than normal and caught the real culprit! !!! My neighbors have alot of free running animals and their chickens had been braking into my yard in the early am and had been digging up and eating my beautiful garden ! I felt so bad I yelled at my dogs!

All of my seedlings have sprouted ! They are all looking so good and happy ! I started the lettuce a week after the rest of them but they are already growing like crazy ! My lavender is even starting to peak through ! I'll be moving my cucumbers to the yard once this rain passes through our area I'm so excited ! And my sugar snaps are absolutely adorable ! I can't even believe how satisfying this already is to me

The dogs decided to get into my garden again ... very depressing but I won't give up ! Gotta find new ways to keep those furry little buggers out of there !

Pretty Frustrated But Won't Give Up

Category: My Very First Garden | Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2016 7:11 pm

Definitely been a challenge getting my above ground garden just how I want it since the dogs dug it up I keep changing my mind when it isn't turning out how I want ... absolutely frustrating... but I am loving being outside and very excited to wait and see how it all turns out ! Really hoping I find a set up I like sooner rather than later and definitely before I lose what's left of my sanity !

DARN DOGS

Category: My Very First Garden | Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2016 6:57 am

First time ever gardening we went all out !!! Since the soil at our house is pretty much dust with absolutely no nutrients left in it so we decided to do a few above ground gardens !! I went searching on pintrest and found the idea to do a cinder block garden! Very cheap and actually very cute! Went the whole 9 yards got all organic soil fertilizer all kinds of stuff! Since one of the beds is under a spigot I etched a whole system into the dirt around everything I had planted and was so incredibly excited !!! Took me three days to get everything just how I wanted it ... I was so proud ! I left to go get some stakes to plant with my bell peppers and even tho it took me THREE FULL DAYS AND A SUNBURN to get exactly what I wanted it only took the dogs 2 hours to completely dig everything up !!! Now working on replanting it all and very sadly had to throw away a few plants but at least all of my seedlings were safe and sound inside the house! Practice makes perfect tho can only move forward and start again this time with some fencing!
