This is the firepit that I built by the creek, My husband and I sit , sip champagne and burn paper and yard trash here. He says no one has as much fun burning trash. hehe
The tree fell down during a very heavy rain, but the birds and our cat Chloe love it this way, so we left it. I took a chain saw and cut through it so that it frames the path down to the creek. I have no neighbors, so no complaints.

We have had rain here for the past week. That is excellent because we are in the midst of a very serious drought. But I am tired of sitting inside! I spent today knitting with my friends, so not as boring as it could be. My husband bought me a new digital camera and I am trying to learn to use it. As soon as I do, I will post pictures of my cabin and trout stream.
I tore up a lot of walls, etc in my cabin for remodeling. My handyman/helper has now stood me up twice to help me put it back in place. I'm a little worried that I may be finishing this by myself. But I do love having my hands on everything around me. Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are, I think I will take my ice tea to the porch and watch it rain.

I am new, I have never blogged before, I love your enteries here and hope to contribute often.
My hobbies are gardening, knitting and reading. I retired the first of Aug 07 from owning a yarn shop in North GA.
I have recently started working with hypertufa, mosiacs and digital photography. I guess I am looking for some latent talent in one of these areas.
Check back often and visit with me when you have a chance. Thanks
Debra
