back brace
Category: New Garden | Posted: Wed Oct 15, 2008 11:15 pm Got a back brace today. Looks like a corset. Has steel rods in front and bigger longer rods in the back. My back feels better, but the straps that go around my underarms, and the part under the front of my bra are very uncomfortable. I will work on that. This blog entry has been viewed 456 times
UGH! It Sucks To Get Old
Category: New Garden | Posted: Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:17 pm If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have.... huh, I don't know what I would have done. Yesterday late afternoon and early evening,I moved rocks, rocks and more rocks. Then I mowed and moved more rocks I missed that the mower found. It didn't like finding them. Made a heck of a racket when it hit one. So, I would get the dolly and move the rocks. Now, my back and wrist(knees, feet, legs where I dropped some big rocks, two broken toes that found rocks I didn't see, ok, pretty much my whole body) is mad at me today. Oh well, nothing a couple of demoral and a soma won't make better. The area I was cleaning up was where my daughter had her flower and herb garden. Then she moved but told me not to touch it until she dug up her plants. That was a year ago. The past week or so, I had been digging the plants she had there. It was a good sized garden, about 20'x30'. The man who owned this 2+ acres before us had used it for a veggie garden. Well, now there are no more plants(next spring may prove me wrong) or rocks. DD had put some BIG rocks around different plants. It looks great now. Looks like just part of the yard. Thats it for now. More to come later. This blog entry has been viewed 337 times
Cathy's Looney Land!
Category: New Garden | Posted: Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:47 am I am making a new 24' x 24' flower garden. It looks great!(in my mind and on paper). But in the real world, its just a 24'x24' area covered with cardboard. All the wood and lattace is stacked on one side, but nothing has been put together yet. :( I have to be fitted for a back brace and have back surgery to look forward to. (not untill the pain pills don't work any more) Talking about pain pills, the demoral and sleeping pill are taking me to lala land, so later all. Cathy This blog entry has been viewed 366 times
