Category: Any One Know How to Help a Sick Weeping Cherry Tree | Posted: Tue Jul 08, 2008 12:20 pm

Hi my name is Gwen Mayer..I am very new to this so bare with me..I am from the Land of OZ better know as Topeka Kansas...my interest are very simple... my greatest love is the Lord Jesus Christ and then it trickles down to my husband..4 wonderful grown children ..5 beautiful grand children..and a big beautiful 3yr old German Shepard (that thinks we are joined at the hip) and last but not least is my garden...my plants and trees are like my babies and I am stressing out over one of them...my 3 yr old snow fountain weeping cherry tree is very sick... I desperately need help and advice as to what to do..I don't know how to get any one to answer my SOS...I have asked this question twice now and haven't snagged any interest in helping me with the answer...I don't know if is because I am so green at this or if I am asking the wrong question...but here goes again...2wks ago I noticed on my cherry tree that there was something oozing out of it and dumb me thought it was sap...now those places have turned black and almost over night the leaves on the tree have dried up and it looks like it is dead...I looked up on line and it says that the tree has Cankers but it doesn't tell me what to do with the tree...do I try to save it or cut it down before it infest my other trees??? I would love to try to save it but have no clue as to what to do...any one's help would be muchly appreciated..signed a worried tree mother...:(
