Almost done.....
Category: Tweetykiss's Blog | Posted: Mon Jul 03, 2006 1:36 am Hi Everyone, Once again it has been forever since I last wrote.... I finally got done planting all the veggies...my cucumber plants, tomato plants, lettuce, bell pepper plants, onions and beans are all doing great but I didn't get the veggies yet. I planted the okra, eggplant, cabbage, and spinach today. I planted dill and cilantro today.... Some of my flowers are now coming up although my dahlias and roses are gone from the bush.... When my next door neighbor was looking at my garden today, she noticed which plants are weeds and she pulled them so that problem is done...remember when I mentioned before that I didn't know which were the weeds...now the overgrowth is gone..... I guess for my first year, I haven't done bad...I still have to plant some more flower seeds and pull the weeds and I am done.... Tweetykiss's Garden update....
Category: Tweetykiss's Blog | Posted: Fri Jun 09, 2006 3:13 am Hi Everyone, I know it has been a very long time since I have posted an entry on my blog and on the forum....I was unable to come here since I was very sick the last several days but I am now much better....I am returning to my job tomorrow... Today, I finally planted my cucumber and tomato seeds.....I planted these in rows....I had to soak that soil last night since it was hard as a rock.... I have to yet plant my peppers, squash, lettuce and radish, and then the herbs...I found a place where we can dig for an herb garden... The seeds I planted two weeks ago are now in good growth and my rose bush is in full bloom...the dahlias are going good... My pansies and geraniums were starting to wither so I gave them compost and now they are florishing...I will take photos again and post them along with my rosebush..... I am also getting some overgrowth and I don't know which leaves are weeds and which ones are my plants.....Can someone please help me with this.... Do others here have problems with weeds...how do we keep weeds off the garden...... I will now be reading and catching up on the forum and also catching up on your blogs.... Thanks again for reading my blog.... This blog entry has been viewed 489 times

Seedlings are coming....
Category: Tweetykiss's Blog | Posted: Thu May 25, 2006 12:36 am The seedlings I talked about last week are now getting bigger....my problem though is I forgot to put the markers there so I am not sure which ones are the weeds since some leaves seem to be too big..... Last Sunday, I planted some wildflowers so that I can do the dried flowers thing and I planted some Carnations and Asters too. I still have to plant the veggie seeds.....one problem happened when I planted the seeds last week is that some birds came and probable ate the seeds so I don't know what to do now. I already have a Dahlia and a rose bush in the bed and one of the flowers in the Dahlia is now blooming and I am thrilled. Yipppiiiiieee.... This blog entry has been viewed 374 times
More Seeds....
Category: Tweetykiss's Blog | Posted: Fri May 19, 2006 1:55 am Well, I did it and bought more seeds today...everything from cukes, tomatoes, peppers and herbs like cilantro which is very popular here in the US and parsley and dill. Then I bought more flower seeds. They only sell Dhalias by the bulbs and the lady said in the winter you have to remove the bulb so I am not sure how to do it and how to store it during the winter and it was the same story with the gladiolas so I have to learn more and then maybe go back and buy more. It really hailed so bad here yesterday and it was very terrifying not only for motorists but for gardeners since I was so terrified for my plants and seedlings. When it stopped hailing, I went outside and my plants are fine and my seedlings seem to be fine but I am now worried if the rest will germinate and there were too many leaves that fell and I can't even clean them up yet since it has still been wet. I also bought some plants for my next door neighbor and they were not home but their son was so he thanked me and I hope she likes them. She gave me some seeds the other day as well. I didn't get to work outside today since it was wet all day. Well didn't have to water the garden anyway. I hope to be able to have a birdbath this year but I don't want the worms eaten though. Any way I can get around this? I want to thank all of you for reading this blog and I plan to come to all of yours. ER will soon be on so I will come back to chat later.
