Adding sound to a garden with a garden fountain
Category: Controling the sound of a garden | Posted: Wed Feb 25, 2009 7:43 pm There are many methods to modify the "sound" of your garden. I would like to hear ideas from others on how to do this. My ideas are: 1. planting plants to attract birds. http://learningstore.uwex.edu/pdf/G1609.pdf (good info about how to do this here. It is slow to load though, so make sure your internet connection is fast enough.) 2. adding a garden fountain like for flowing water sound http://www.gofountains.com/ A blog about fountains. 3. adding wind chimes http://www.arkansascityks.gov/index.aspx?NID=975 (You need to scroll down on this page a little to find the chimes I'm talking about.) The simplest is, of course to add wind chimes, but my favorite way is to install a garden fountain. Planting plants to attract birds works well too as long as you do your research and figure out what type of birds the plants might attract.
