Pick a venue. Take the wifey. Have a day out. It will do you both a lot of good, not to mention the car battery. :)

Yes, I am bossy. I know this, but, if you had to run a 38 horse riding stable for your sick Uncle @12 years old, you'd come by bossiness naturally too !! :D

Logan I beat ya to it. Did my hair Wednesday… it’s dry…in a phony tail ready to dawn my hat and trim a huge Italian Cypress where the ground squirrels had a huge dinner party . Unfortunately as usual I’m cleaning it up.

Not a pretty picture it’s as dead as a door nail. Pics later…

Ya know, my hair is very fine. I can wash it, towel it dry, (that takes less than 5 minutes) then just go outside for 15 minutes and it's dry. Life carries on....*skips away to the kitchen for a coffee*

    :)

I'm the same as you @Anniekay , even now that I have grown it long I just wash and go. I often leave home in the morning with damp ( well towel dried) hair and by the time we get on the bus it's dried....life stops for nothing.

Housework this morning but this afternoon I made a good start on cleaning out the greenhouse. So sad to find a few Butterflies dead and caught up in some cobwebs. Note to self for next year....regular house work duties required in the greenhouse too!
Hopefully I will continue finishing it off tomorrow then make a start on the big lean-to coldframe. Hubs cut the lawns and did some more shredding.

Oreti Cleaning up the greenhouse at the end of the year is a huge undertaking. So many things seem to pile up so quickly. I need to tackle that issue too. The squirrels have made a huge mess by digging in every pot. Soil everwhere. Where’s my pressure washer. I don’t even know where to start.

I can't really do a thing in the garden. It's too hot to plant any seed outside in the raised beds, the grass doesn't need cutting since it's brown and not growing, and not the right time to prune anything. Blessed relief actually !! :p

I've been putting it off for too long really Pac, so easy to just dump stuff in there.....as you say it soon piles up and then the thought of cleaning up becomes a bit daunting.:smt085
It's now is a race to clean up the whole nursery area as during the Winter the area remains shaded for longer. I tend to snuggle down in the greenhouse with my music and hot chocolate and do little ( especially saved) tasks to busy myself with.:like:

Oh yes boy do I hear ya …sometimes a break from daily garden duties can bring a well earned rest. So just relax today enjoy the day… while I’m out cutting out heavy branches from my beloved Italian Cypress tree - lime green color - by the way over 60’ … that those darn horrible Belding squirrels destroyed. and I have trapped them all not a sign of those beasts for weeks. :fingerscrossed: The Beldings and the last mole trapped too, is a battle won for this season.

I do the same except I use electric heater it snows here and a freeze is a little to cold and bring my iPad for company. Isn’t it amazing all the things we can do in winters in and amongst our plant and seed collections.

Well done Pac, so pleased to hear you've won the battle.:setc_005: It must get so disheartening to see these critters causing such devastation in your gorgeous garden.:(

Yes it is, you can always carry on 'gardening ' in some way no matter what the weather is. In many ways I look forward to the change in the type of tasks that can be done in the Winter months .:D:like:

Yesterday finished planting the wallflowers, I like to take time with my hair and have a rest from gardening.

After a morning spent doing the downstairs housework ( yesterday was bed stripping and upstairs hw, I find it easier to split it up ...then I have time for a session in the garden:D:like:) I finally have a clean and orderly Greenhouse!!!:smt041.It's now ready and waiting for hubs to add the insulation in readiness for the nippy Winter weather.
I have also made a start on the big lean-to coldframe, at the moment it's a case of collecting up pots and seed trays and shooing away the spiders!!
I ended the afternoon with yet another attack on the acorns that had accumulated in a surprisingly thick layer over on the East patio. I looked up at the trees and became very disheartened when I saw the tremendous amount still waiting to come down!!:(

Oreti maybe you need this guy to gather all your acorns. You’re always so buzy. Good for you! :smt023

Today … it was time to play a game of “Pick Up Sticks”. Thanks to the ground squirrels.
