Ahha… interesting diagram. Thanks… now we know how to remove the pups with a greater success of starting a new plant. Here’s another way… by Dr Plant X air layers banana plants . A interesting propagation technique.
This morning, while making my rounds in the garden, I noticed a new pup had popped up. I guess I had to remove it to let the main plant grow faster; otherwise, it would have to share its nutrients.
Thanks Pacnorwest, I never knew that a banana plant could be air layered. I wonder if the mother plant can still produce bananas afterward.
KK— that was a good explanation…and sketch. Very clear. Your loss is something learned…so, not a total loss at all. Carry on…you got this, mate.
