    Ahha… interesting diagram. Thanks… now we know how to remove the pups with a greater success of starting a new plant.

    Here’s another way… by Dr Plant X air layers banana plants . A interesting propagation technique.

    This morning, while making my rounds in the garden, I noticed a new pup had popped up.
    [​IMG]I guess I had to remove it to let the main plant grow faster; otherwise, it would have to share its nutrients.

    Thanks Pacnorwest, I never knew that a banana plant could be air layered. I wonder if the mother plant can still produce bananas afterward.
