Can you feel a bulb by putting your finger down into the soil a little way? If you have had it for a few years there should be a few bulbs formed.
I think the leaves look too long and heavy for dracena.
A crinum would die down some part of the year like most bulbs and it would also have had some sort of flower in 8yr or have mutiplied.
