36 days to spring. :smt041
[MEDIA]
It's only about 6 weeks to spring so something to look forward to soon.:)
It should be the 6th of January, that's the 12th day, i live in the UK like you. :) They say that it's unlucky to take them down earlier than that...
For us it's going to be a mild, above average January.
End of this month I'll do some chilli seeds. I collected some off my old plants, more hope of them germinating than the bought ones.
You can watch videos on YouTube [MEDIA] Can be seen down south here, but we don't see many here anymore.
Going to order some seeds, 2 packs of calendula called daisy may only grows to 8 inches and bushy.
Too cold and light drizzle so can't do anything in the garden.
Over here it should be January the 6th.Before Christmas had been celebrated there was a pagan festival round about the 17 th or 19th of December.
I usually take them down on the 1st of January.
Over here in the UK they taste better after a frost and they do keep in the ground so don't have to harvest them all at once.
I like to grow parsnips, cucumbers, tomatoes and the hottest chillies, because they're easy to grow.
Welcome Julia from the UK Redditch Worcester west midland.
It's raining again and getting fed up with it. Every day nearly all the time we get wet walking the boys.
Welcome back Kildale and don't rush things. :smt039
