Saved seed rarely germinates,unless it is stored in optimum conditions. Like all members of the family the seed has only a very short life span....

Allium siculum seed head. Used to be Nectaroscordum siculum. I think they are sometimes called Honeybells as the flowers sweetly scented.

Sadly, no, they have no discernible scent. There are some other coloured versions of it though. I have a couple of really nice pink double ones.
