7 tipped leaf with red veins

    Someone gave me some seeds that we thought were hyacinth bean seeds and this came up instead. Does anyone recognize it?

    The leaf looks like that of Ricinus communis, the Castor oil plant and extremely poisonous it is too!

    Yep, that sure is what it looks like. Grew a lot last year. They are poison! It is what they make ricin out of. But they make gorgeous plants..just don't eat any. Mine grew to a whopping 11 feet tall.

    Thanks Deb and Palustris, I might better get rid of it. I have 2 little dogs and one of them likes to eat plants. Jo
