G'day! The days are getting longer and warmer now. Spring is here, and the garden is very enticing. I've been playing in my Vege patch for months now, and other than stronger muscles, we're now harvesting some beautiful vegies.
This is the third time I've begun a vege patch from scratch, as the cows keep gettingin and trampling over the whole patch. Very disillusining!

This time I'll keep 'em out!!!!

We do get very mild winters here on world standards, so I shouldn't complain. I can't imagine scraping snow off cabbages to harvest them. Ouch. I am trying very hard to keep up with the watering though on the lead up to our hot summers. I'll try to upload more pics monthly. I'm very excited to have found a group of gardeners online, as the only other source I've found is the local community garden in town. It's lovely going in to have a look at what everyone else is growing locally. Very inspiring.

These pictures were taken about a month ago, and as you can see, it was a very sunny day. Since then the grass has grown a lot, and it's been mown twice.

I'll have to go and take some more pictures soon.

    Have a great day.
    Deb

G'day Deb it's great to have you here with us at GardenStew. :-D
Over here in Scotland we're preparing for our winter to descend on us. It'll be so good to see more of your photographs as our gardens don't produce much during the next few months.
I hope those cows don't trample any more of your veggies!!

    WELCOME!!

It's so lovely to get such a warm welcome from you all.

And thoroughly amazing to consider all the different climates around the world in the context of gardening.

This picture is from my back verandah. Not bad, eh?

    Debbie,
Welcome from Minnesota. One of the things that I love about Garden Stew is that I get to see gardens and wildlife that I don't see in my backyard.
    Thanks for the photos.
