    We have a few kingfishers around but not easy to get a decent photo of. I see them quite often and I keep trying. This is one from this week.

    You've done better with photographing kingfishers than I have Kildale. I think, over the years, that I've only ever managed one or two decent shots of one of ours. Yours photograph is excellent!! :-D

    I've just realized that my part of the world needs a bigger variety of birds.

    I have 16 to 18 species on the deck everyday, no more that 12 feet away, many 2 or 3 feet from a window. When you count the male and the females that look different I have quite a few birds calling.
