Stratsmom sent it to me recently. It's still in pot because I haven't gotten around to expanding my daylily bed. But... evidently, it likes it here! Imagine what it'll do with room to grow?
    Thanks Deanna! I love it!

Isn't she a cutie!!!! That is about the best behaved plant in my yard :p Thought of you yesterday~ I stopped by the nursery looking for mini hostas and ran into the biggest day lily I have ever seen  The name was "Primal Scream" and it was HUGE!! Wish I had my camera to prove it :-|

I looked up "Primal Scream"... it sure is a brilliant orange... but none of the photos really showed how big it was. Bet it was a sight-to-see!

I might sneak back with my camera :D :D
Do you think that would make them mad? Has anyone else taken photos at a nursery???

Why would they get mad? It's not like you're stealing seeds or cuttings. :-D

I will post a picture of Primal Scream.I have had it for about 5 years. It isn't one of my favs.Don't know if I took a picture this year but I have some from other years.
I want to do so much with the daylilies when it cools off.
Proven Winners reintroduced it this year. Not sure how they do that when so many peeps have it already.I've noticed this with a lot of Proven Winners intros.Coleus for example.

The flowers of Primal Scream are large. They will vary according to the moisture level & soil . A day or so after a good soaking they might be 8 inches.
If in a pot at a nursery they probably had plenty of fertilizer & regular watering.Could account for large blooms.

Primal Scream is appropriately named. It wants to be noticed. Could Primal Scream be renamed Attention Getter?
