Old percolator insides and a couple of stands ...
I always find several of these stands at the thrift store, some I buy. I glued the basket from an old coffee pot to it. Since it has holes in the bottom there is no chance of water standing in it and ruining the seeds.

The stand for this one is a tall candle holder with the lid of the coffee pot basket sitting on the section that used to hold the candle. The lid (which also has holes) is removable so when it rains I can take it off to drain the water. The Cardinals and Red Winged Blackbirds have already adopted it as their own.

The birds eat in style at your restaurant. You don't have squirrels that monopolize the feeders? If I did that in my yard I would have a squirrel as a permanent customer.

Toni don't tell my squirrels that they are not suppose to eat safflower seeds. The Red squirrels we have around here will eat anything. Saw them eating my jelly for the orioles and my suet for the woodpeckers this year. I think I have pic's posted in my photo's. I'm glad your squirrels are more picky about what they eat. They can clean out a feeder in no time. :stew1:
