In autumn 2020 I was lucky enough to get hold of one bulb of Colchicum raddeanum, a tiny, spring-flowering colchicum. We have the big, autumn blooming ones, but this one was new to me. I couldn't find info on how to care for it, so I put it in a border where I keep small things I'm not certain how to care for it until I can get some proper info on them. It seemed to like its new home and bloomed last spring. It's only 3-5 cm tall, but since it's so early it gets to shine on its own. I think it's delightful and hope it sets side bulbs and spreads out:
I’ve never seen that particular one, Droopy. I like them. I still have some white fall ones that you once gifted us.
Thanks, both. As I said, it's tiny, but I'll take anything that blooms this time of year. I've been told it's quite rare and hard to come by, so I'm pleased we got it.
