A visit from a Monarch Butterfly Today

    It made itself comfy on the Milkweed all afternoon.

    And then a Gulf Fritillary showed up. It's hard to see them both. The Monarch is in the top center, and the Gulf Frit is in the bottom left.

    cherylad, Oh, Don't these little critters make a garden come alive....

    I love butterflies. My tattoo has 86 different kind of moths and butterflies on it. Along with many other beings.

    Awww...pretty. I sure miss the butterflies here in the Mid-Atlantic states.

    I find it amazing that the Monarch Butterfly would have hard wired into its DNA the information necessary to make the long journey each year.
