A walk around the garden this morning...8/8/12

    I was cutting off the old blooms on my butterfly bush and I came across these hummingbird moths...sorry for invading their privacy...

    after they flew away, still connected I checked out the cosmos for a little action and a few other flowers..

    I don't know how you get the wildlife in your garden to pose so nicely for you. :-? Whenever I try to photograph mine they fly off and all I get is a blur. :(
    Lovely shots - especially of the mating Hummingbird Hawk Moths. :-D

    Thank you Eileen...we have such windy days It is hard to believe the small butterflys can even fly in it. I have a few Orioles here but the feeder has become a drinking spot for wasps, etc. so the orioles turn and leave....

    I haven't seen a hummingbird moth at all this year. Nice shots!
