Here I drilled three holes in two ceramic pots and attached "hanging basket chains," to long lengths of chains secured to batons in the loft above the first floor ceiling. They seem quite happy here and don't get disturbed. (The lillies on the landing are artificial). (This is a photo from Christmas last year we haven't got the decorations up yet!) Another hard wood window sill shelf over the radiator.
I like it. I also like your choice of pot shape and color. Goes well with the white of the staircase and makes the green of the plants stand out.
