Sjoerd, here in the States we have a Box Elder tree. Some years it attracts bugs known as Box Elder bugs because they prefer laying their eggs beneath the bark of this tree. I understand the sap is food for the tiny critters as they mature. They're prolific and congregate any place where it's warm.

Weather is great for gardening in SE Michigan. The tomato and pepper plants cannot go out due to frost possibilities.

Goodness, we are having great weather here in Georgia...almost too hot already/pool weather...high 80s. Already hit 90 twice. @Sjoerd, i love your garden and stories. I also love Monty from Gardeners World..I believe i love Nigel (the pup) more though..hehe. Glad you were able to get out and get some fresh air and get those hands in that rich soil of yours.

Hummer, my relatives in South Carolina are also having very warm weather. An abundance of rain earlier too. Now Michigan has been given a deluge of rain. Lettuce, kale, onions, garlic, potatoes, spinach, all growing, but peas have yet to come up.

HUMMER--Glad to hear about your warm weather...I say that guardedly. However you can at least get things started...here it is very, very cold now. Boo-hoo. Yeah, ole Monty is a chap that I watch every friday. He has such a good way of explaining things, I feel. Nigel is getting older now and Monty has a second goldie called "Nel" on the show these days. I am so surprised that you know of him. Do you watch some of his vids from time to time?

JEWELL--Ach meid, better laster than never, right. hahaha. I am pleased that you liked the posting.

How about half a day's work? I spent the morning weeding in preparation for a tomato section, setting out Begonias. Lantana, transplanting Buttercups from the pink and purple flower garden to the circle around the Bird bath. I re-potted my Black Krim seedling tomato plants yesterday and left them, covered, outside for the first time. Some of them look a bit shocked. Still, I think they will recover and give great tomatoes later.

Hummer, the seedlings just have their second set of leaves.
I may have rushed them, but it will be what it will be.

Well Hummer, I was surprised because it is a British tv show, not an american one.
Do you get it on your telly, or do you watch youtube vids?
