Angel Wing Begonia, shouldn't it be more "hangy"?

Cheryl, Mine are in hanging baskets and bloom all the time. I do nothing but water them. I have also put some in the ground in full sun and they got huge. Good luck with yours.

Donna, that sure is lovely but I don't think it is a cane type begonia, the plant in Cheryl's photo is a cane type and therefore they take on different shapes.
I have some begonias in baskets and they do love being there and flower well, but cane types grow taller and need to to show off.

I recently bought one like your's Donna... it's doing pretty good.
But Chocolate is right... two completely different versions of Angel Wings.
I did go ahead and up-pot the cane one and made sure to tie it up. It's under the pecan tree and will only get a bit of morning sun.
I'm really curious to see how it does out there.

Sounds like the perfect place, I am feeling that it is very happy already!

Looks like it might be 'Lucerne' or 'Lucerna.' Both names seem to refer to the same plant & have a lot of info "out there."

I was pleased to see one of my pieces of furniture's cousin in your pic! This one has a mirror, a vanity. The stool went AWOL long ago. It looks like yours might have in the past too, had a mirror I mean, with the same lower section in the middle. AFAIK, my piece is from the late 30's...? What do you know about yours?

Hey Purple... they are very similar aren't they? That piece belonged to Hubby's grandma or uncle... or both.
    I'll post some photos tomorrow.

Purple... here are the pics. They are definitely cousins. Hubby said it used to have a mirror also and the handles are made of some sort of shell. My guess would be around 30s also.
    Neato!
