Gail, I understand. I have no dog of my own, but I do day care for my youngest son's little dog. I'm in love with the little rascal and when I open the door in the afternoon, he is SO happy to see his Grama.
He had two larger dogs before and I miss them so very much. I often tell people about their antics when they were still with us.

:hi: @Growingpains it feels nice when they welcome you and funny enough I still mention Bruno at times to my hubby, as I see no one besides coming on here and chatting on the discussions.

The stories can never end on those we've loved :smt049

Gail, we still chat about my son's two departed dogs and how the ran like the wind when they managed an escape. How loving they were. Our pets are second to our children, maybe?

Well here having no children with my hubby bruno was my child and he acted more human in his a bits but i think i made him that way, as i have OCD so he and my hubby lived a life by rules :( but i did read and it might sound silly but dogs can actually have OCD.

Well some of my Bruno's habits were weird, he couldn't stand food on the inside of his chops so he'd rub his mouth across your leg if you weren't careful, in the evening clean is face etc like a cat and the once when my hubby took him in the rain he was back home well before my hubby...my husband said he ran off down the alley from where they were standing under the oak tree, he'd crossed two roads and ended up at our front door and he often did it but he was well trained for stopping at the paths besides walking loose off the lead by your side.

I can easily believe Bruno was an intelligent canine friend.

I have longer hair and i don't curl it any more.
I took it from a photograph and it's faded a bit.
