    Hi!

I've recently bought a house and the owners left two lovely bamboo plants. One was planted in a bed and is doing fine. The other one is in a large pot and looks a bit scragglier and has spots (see picture). It has also been on the north side of the house.

Any ideas what this could be and how I can get rid of it?

    Thanks!

From what I have read, most problems with bamboo are from over watering. Check the soil, they like damp but not soggy. Don't water on a schedule, if it needs water the leaves will start curling to show it.

    Thanks!

I've moved it to the sunny side and the new green shoots are looking healthier. I was going to cut away the old ones but I'll leave them as they are getting new shoots!
