Any news about the flowers @Droopy ?
Had one go off in the night here
Seems they're coming along nicely, but I get a distinct "Here's looking at you, kid!" vibe from it:
Oooo, he's just about to go off too
Couple of days maybe
You think? I'm looking forward to that! Your cacti have lovely blooms, and not a single one that looks as creepy as mine.
Not my type, but fascinating!
Yep, won't be too long
Oh, I don't know
Taken a few Opuntia cuttings, these are bedded in pure grit, no compost.
My Mrs is like that
A granddaughter collects succulents, which include cacti, correct?
Yep, cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti
I mainly have cacti but I do have a few succulents too...
Some succulents have spines like cacti, and indeed do look very like them. Cacti spines come out of (usually) fluffy aureoles and succulent spines usually come straight out of the plant body.
Thank you for this information. Yours are lovely.
Flowering is slowing down now but still a few coming out
You're welcome, thank you Growingpains
This Echinopsis flowered again yesterday
And this Mammillaria fraileana this morning...
Wow really cool blooms…very nice collection.
Some seedpods appeared on the Mammillaria fraileana, these will be from flowers earlier in the year.
Another bloom on the Matucana today.
