    That's not a bad space, and I may possibly put some of my perennials on there :scheming:

    Austrocylindropuntia floccosa outside today enjoying some winter sunshine They come from way up the mountains in the Andean High Plateau where it drops to minus 15 Celcius overnight. The long hairs protect them from the high ultraviolet as well as the cold.

    Don't worry Eileen, they are still up on the staging. He put all the nasty prickly things down on the bed so that he could cover them if -and when necessary, from frost.
    My plants are a bit tougher - they'll be fine :)

    He's obviously got a kind heart where you are concerned. Or maybe he's just scared of the consequences if he touched your plants. ;)
