I have been picking up odd unpainted birdhouses over the last couple of years to paint and have finally started getting some of them mounted. Others I have are being mounted on newel posts and will be placed around the garden in among the plants...those photos will come in a day or two.

I have a collection of large buttons, gaudy earrings and other assorted baubles I have also collected and used some as decorations to the houses and in a couple of instances I used them to close up excess holes on the birdhouse....

Randy got them mounted on a fence panel last evening.
I don't expect birds to actually move in since they are so close to the ground but that's okay, I have more for them to live in in the back yard. And yeah, I know the one of the far right is wonky, Randy was having to stand in an awkward position to attach it since the plants are kinda close together there and he was looking at it sideways...

I think I need to find two more to fill in the large blank spaces ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden )

You have definitely raised the rent for birdhouses in the area. Now birds are only going to want the high class houses.

You will update us if any birds do move in Toni :stew2: My favourite is the triple birdhouse.

Frank... I liked the triple one too. For some reason, it reminded me of the Weasley's house in the Harry Potter movies... except Toni's is much less "wonky". :D

Very nice ones... I hope your birds will love them more than mine do mine. Does that make sense?
    LOL...
I only have one BH up in a pear tree but no-one knocked at my door to ask about the rent.

Those are really cute, toni. I would never have thought to use "embellishments" on my birdhouses, but those pieces of old jewelry look so pretty!

Thanks for the compliments, hope the birds like them as much as you all do.

If you think that triplex is 'interesting' wait until you see one of the birdhouses on a post that I will be putting out this week ;)

I need to restock my supply of gaudy jewelry this spring at garage sales. I just hope those can stand up to a Texas summer.

Housesparrows would move into the triple one if it was around here. They love community living!! All of your birdhouses are lovely and colourful Toni and I hope you'll show us the rest when you get them put up.

Toni those are really neat looking. Now just keep those pesky sparrows out of them. I like eileen would have to keep those trouble makers out of them. I love the bobbles you added. Gives me some great ideas. Thanks for sharing. :stew1:
