Birds are returning.

    Birds are returning for the winter, have had 14 species one day this week. The Downy is here the year round and is handy to get pictures of. The Jay is coming each day now also.

    I've been noticing the geese are flying off to their winter grounds already. This generally means that we're in for a really bad winter. I expect the Great Spotted Woodpecker and the Long Tailed Tits will be turning up in the garden soon if the geese have predicted the coming weather correctly.
