Black strip on photos?

    Not sure why I keep getting black strips on photos when uploading Frank? It's not all of them, but I keep getting some that look like this...

    Hi Netty. This is due to a piece of code I added to correct the rotation of some uploaded photos. Most images uploaded contain a piece of data that explains how the camera was held i.e. landscape or portrait. A member asked me why their images displayed on their side when uploaded so the code I added displayed them the right way up after getting the rotation data from the image uploaded.

    However a side effect to rotating them into the correct position is that it leaves a black band on the image. I figured it was a small price to pay to avoid members having to turn their head to the side when viewing GardenStew :)

    Having said that I can see you image is not rotated correctly. Can you email me the original image to the email address at the bottom of the page and I'll investigate :)
