My Halloween routine for the last few years is that I pass out candy at Paige's house so that she and her hubs can take the kids trick or treating. The neighborhood is a new subdivision, and it's filled with young families who go all out for Halloween it seems. The doorbell never stops ringing!!!! I've taken to sitting outside, like many do, in a comfy chair with a huge pumpkin filled with candy! The kids had a blast, and I enjoyed seeing all the costumes. Ron came over after a while and we sat together and gave out candy, and then when the grandkids got back, we went inside and I made hot chocolate for everyone...well, coffee for Ron but everyone else got warm mugs of cocoa with marshmallows..the kids' favorite! Mother Nature, and our local avian population, provided just the right ambience for All Hallows' Eve! The grandkids' first stop was their own house to steal some candy from the treat bucket!! Paige always puts these spooky decals in the windows. Never fails to draw all kinds of comments from the folks who come by.
I love Halloween but we are not sure how many children are in the area because we have been so busy the last year working on our new place. We had 7 children, not sure why but we didn't notice any other lights on so most people are not passing out candy. I remember years ago when we lived in Neenah, we had over 100 children and it was so much fun opening the door and seeing all of the costumes. Great photos!
Great Halloween foto's Ronni ! I see now that the candies pumpkin was plastic. I at first thought that it was a real one that you lined with plastic or something....hahaha.....wot am I loik. I liked your orange blouse. I realize that it is a typical fall/harvest/ Halloween colour...but it is also our national colour--the colour of our Royal Family. You'd fit in over here right away. Great post, mate.
Ronni I just had to show my hubby your lovely pic's mate and your as bad as the kids ...are you sure they got their fair amount Beautiful pictures and what a glorious night for enjoying yourselves and Paige's windows are fab The last 2yrs we've had no one knock our door but I always have several bowls of sweets ready...looks like i'll be filling my mouth again later
I loved the pictures and your costume! Our town puts on quite a show for the kids, complete with a 'spook house' and candy. That, combined with below freezing temperature, kept all but one friend that brought her little one to 'trick' us. Mike took most of the candy and donated it to the Senior Center.
