I didn't even realize there were so many different crocosmias. We only have three. They're all lovely, I can't choose a favourite. :D

It's "Lucifer", "Emily MacKenzie" and the old, orange one that my grandmother grew. She inherited it from my grandfather's grandmother, so it's an old species.

Edit: I would like to make a wish: Could you please start a blog and put your Crocosmia in there? Write a bit about each one, show a photo or three, if you have time for it? Or better yet, put them in the PlantStew so we could find them whenever we want?

PlantStew is a database slowly filling up with info with the help of all registered members. You can visit 'Plants' in the main menu, and you'll be directed there. This online database is a big help for all who look for info on plants, and will only get better with time. Yes, I really like this feature, can you tell? :D

    LOL yes I can tell......
Well, I have added about 20 plants or so, to see what happens... eventually if it goes well I will add all 280+ varieties of crocosmia. Thats a bigger crocosmia database than any other site I know of.

Hi Mr_Crocosmia, just to let you know that I have received all of your plant suggestions and I will be adding them as soon as I can. I'm a little wrapped up with deadlines just now so if they don't get added today you'll know why ;) Thanks!

    Hi Frank

Ok, thank you for letting me know......
One of them wants deleting. It was entered as Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora 'African Dawn'.

I entered it again as it should be Crocosmia 'African Dawn'.

Thats why there are two of them....... in case you were wondering.

    Thanks
    Mark
