Thanks everyone, lnow know how to take a pic, there is a flap you lift on the front for flash lamp. Learnt delete an image. Tomorrow I am going to get any images taken on the SD card to see if they are any use.

It will take me some time to learn it all, more so how to zoom 42x having been used to 4x....:smt044

@kate It is very remiss of me Kate but I have not been following things on here for some time. At the start of the year I had three cameras in use but a problem with my eyes has meant that I gave my Nikon DSLR and lenses to a son, and I sold a Fuji HS50. The Fuji has an almost identical spec to your Kodak so you will find that zoom great to really get up close. Need a very steady hand though or better to use a mono or tripod.
My only camera now is a Fuji X10 retro compact which I kept because it has a 'live' viewfinder.
Looking forward to seeing some of your pics.
    Happy Christmas

Having revisited this thread after a long absence I am reminded that we have not seen Sydney Smith for a very long time. Does anyone know Sydney or why we have not seen him?
