21 pints of mushrooms 8 quarts of chicken breasts It smells so good around waretropland. Tomorrow more french cut potatoes.
Donna, It is the easiest....skinned and boned chicken, pack tight it in clean quart jars, clean rims of jars well, lid them and through them in the pressure canner for 90 minutes......raw pack no added water or anything......
Next up more french fried potatoes. We already ate half of what I canned up in September so when I was 50 pounds for 8 dollars I decided to have the hubby pick them up. I wasn't going to do that I knew I was going to do the work on them when they got into my kitchen so he could get them to the car. LOL I haven't counted them yet but there must be 30 quarts. That will last me a while along with what I already have on my shelf.
Oh Look!!!! They are not peeled. My mom taught me that the skin was very good for you so I try not to peal things that I will be eating. I don;t know anything about it but I do know that that many things that the outsides "skin" of veggies that we eat have fiber that is good for your intestines.
