My wife picked up a new cat brush at Wal Mart and it is the best cat brush there is. It's called a " Shed Monster". You talk about removing shedding hair! Our long hair cat is practically naked, compared to what he was! A great little tool and not expensive either. It would work on dogs too I imagine.
