So I am home now and this is my birthday present from my hubby. Isn't he great. I read all your posts last week and I told you he loved that flower. I told you he was a shop-a-haulic. It is really not small for sure.

I had to repost the first picture to show the difference in colors. Now I have another color blooming as the orange is fading. Different plants of course.

These are in my regular Clivia. I don't know how long I have had this one.

I had to edit this as now I am wondering if the red one is not even a Clivia. Does anyone know?

Barb Clivia come in orange, red, white and yellow. The Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh are now breeding them in a peach shade and pink too. When, and if, I go there again I'll take some photographs for you.

    Barb, those are all beautiful.

Sjoerd...I think it is a hoax. dyed or something and as soon as it fades and a new one is formed you will find a whole different color...is my thought. Formaldehyde? Seeing as I am highly allergic to that stuff, I'll be skipping any thing to do with it, too. Was it a real plant? maybe it was a silk plant and flower?

Okay, I decided to go back and look at the page again and see that it is a formaldehyde removing plant. But the color is still a real question.

I've looked everywhere for a blue clivia and there is nothing to be found. I really can't see how anyone could breed a blue one from cross pollinating the colours that are available. A blue or purple would have to already exist to breed from surely.

That is quite a luscious colour pink. Unheard of here. Quite lovely to see.
You have a remarkable collection, Ware.
